Motive Workforce is seeking a General Manager to lead its Plumbing Service Department, overseeing service plumbers and technicians responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties, driving operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in plumbing service leadership.
• Proven ability to manage field teams and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the Plumbing Service Department.
• Schedule, manage, and provide technical support to service technicians.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate technicians.
• Oversee plumbing repair, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and service activities.
• Review completed work to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards.
• Establish technician performance expectations and improvement goals.
• Develop and maintain ongoing technical and safety training programs.
• Conduct team meetings and performance discussions.
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize scheduling and response times.
• Maintain visibility into projects, labor hours, and materials.
• Communicate with vendors on warranties and issues.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and profitability objectives.
• Review invoices, time reports, and billing accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable and cash flow; ensure timely parts ordering.
• Ensure technicians follow company policies and safety requirements.
• Oversee service vehicles and inventory.
