Job summary

Thompson Solutions Group in Sioux City, IA, is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Plumbing to lead commercial and industrial plumbing construction from planning through closeout. You will drive safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance while aligning with customer expectations and project requirements.

You will collaborate with customers, field teams, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver solutions, review design alternatives, estimates, schedules, and ensure quality control.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial plumbing systems and codes.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial and industrial plumbing projects from initiation to completion.
• Assist in planning and design alternatives and solutions.
• Prepare and review budgets, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, manpower plans, contracts, and QC measures.
• Coordinate with field teams, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Review estimates, drawings, schedules, and scope to meet objectives.
• Approve billings, change orders, and cost reports.
• Support field supervision to ensure safe, productive execution.
• Lead closeout activities, punch lists, and final billing.
• Build customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional Thompson services.
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure customer satisfaction.
