Job summary

Bassett Mechanical is seeking a Project Sales Engineer to identify, design, estimate, and secure plumbing project opportunities while ensuring profitability and adherence to budgets.

You will liaise with customers and internal teams to deliver cost-effective plumbing solutions, coordinate CAD/Revit outputs, and help develop efficient installation strategies through BIM and prefabrication. Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with PE or Master Plumber WI license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE registration or Master Plumber License in WI.
• Minimum five years of plumbing industry experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Strong design project management capability.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries to assess plumbing and piping needs and present proposed approaches.
• Plan and schedule appointments; maintain CRM system.
• Design plumbing systems for various building types and processes; coordinate CAD/Revit drawings.
• Prepare construction drawings and arrange plan reviews.
• With estimators, prepare cost estimates and establish pricing to meet profit goals.
• Prepare and present proposals outlining scope and costs; secure commitments.
• Collaborate with PM, VDC, and field leadership to optimize installation strategies using BIM and prefabrication.
• Promote emerging technologies and digital design tools to improve productivity and profitability.
• Stay current on plumbing codes and industry standards.
• Support HVAC/P engineering needs as required.
• Uphold safe and Lean working environment.
