Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years in plumbing/mechanical assembly or related trade.
- Experience with plumbing systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Able to safely use hand and power tools and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

- Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems in custom trailers and vehicles.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to complete tasks.

- Collaborate with electricians, fabricators, welders, engineers, and production teams.

A Plumbing & Mechanical Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, and finishing components used in the construction of custom trailers, specialty vehicles, and mobile structures. This position utilizes plumbing skills, mechanical aptitude, and hands‑on fabrication abilities to support the complete build process of one‑of‑a‑kind products. While this role will utilize plumbing experience to install and troubleshoot water systems, fixtures, piping, and related components, most of the position will involve supporting the overall construction and assembly of custom trailers. Responsibilities may include mechanical assembly, component installation, system integration, material preparation, and assisting with various production activities based on project requirements. This work environment is dynamic and versatile in nature, where employees are expected to wear multiple hats and contribute across multiple areas of the manufacturing process. Daily tasks and priorities may shift based on production schedules, customer requirements, and project needs. Successful team members are adaptable, mechanically inclined, and enjoy using their skilled trade experience to build unique, custom products.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies, OSHA standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Utilize plumbing skills to install, connect, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems within custom trailers and specialty vehicles.
- Install water lines, drains, fixtures, pumps, tanks, valves, fittings, and related components according to drawings and specifications.
- Perform mechanical assembly and installation of components used in custom trailer construction.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials and components using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with the installation and integration of various trailer systems and components.
- Support fabrication, assembly, and finishing activities required to complete custom builds.
- Identify and communicate installation challenges, material concerns, and potential quality issues to Team Leads and Supervisors.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, quality, and customer requirements are met.
- Collaborate with electricians, fabricators, welders, engineers, and other production team members to complete projects.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and movement of components throughout the facility.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs and customer commitments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in plumbing, mechanical assembly, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, or a related skilled trade.
- Experience with plumbing systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and assemble complex systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical work instructions.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness and flexibility to assist with multiple areas of trailer production beyond plumbing responsibilities.
- Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history.
- Plumbing certification, apprenticeship completion, or technical trade training.
- Experience working with RVs, food trucks, specialty vehicles, trailers, marine applications, or custom fabrication.
- Experience with PEX, PVC, copper, pumps, tanks, and water systems.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, electrical, welding, carpentry, or construction.
- Experience in a custom manufacturing or low‑volume/high‑mix production environment.
- Experience with soda fountain heads and commercial ice makers.
- Physically able to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
- Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
- Physically able to use Respiratory protection, as needed.
