Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Planner & Scheduler to coordinate maintenance for plumbing and utility systems onsite. The role emphasizes detailed planning, backlogs management, and collaboration with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates bring advanced knowledge of plumbing/utility maintenance, work planning, and scheduling, plus strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate's Degree in a technical field or journeyman's license in one trade.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Three years of experience in construction, maintenance, estimating, project management or scheduling in a plant or large facility.
• Licensed Plumber.
• Must pass pre-employment skills test.

Responsibilities

• Administer work orders and service requests via CMMS; prioritize by urgency.
• Interview clients within two business days to develop scopes of work.
• Collaborate with technicians to estimate labor hours, parts, and materials.
• Coordinate parts, materials, and scheduling information to support maintenance and projects.
• Develop short- and long-range plans based on resources and backlog.
