Job summary

Canadian Valley Technology Center El Reno Campus seeks a dedicated Plumbing Instructor to deliver instruction at the Federal Correctional Institution in El Reno, OK. The role oversees recruitment, curriculum development, and hands-on training for residents and continues to develop industry-standard plumbing skills.

Normal hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with possible additional time for curriculum work and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years related industry teaching experience in the past five years.
• Certification to teach in post-secondary education Oklahoma or ability to pursue provisional certification per ODCTE requirements.
• Provide current industry credential (Journeyman or Contractors License in Plumbing).
• Complete and pass a Teacher Certification Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains records as required by CV Tech, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and ODCTE.
• Adheres to FCI-El Reno policies and security measures.
• Maintains plumbing program safety/training equipment inventory and records.
• Ensures equipment is available and in safe working condition for training.
• Coordinate with FCI-El Reno and CV Tech staff for smooth operation and timely documentation.
• Evaluate student progress and training program effectiveness.
