Qualifications

  • Graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree.
  • Three (3) years of trade-related experience.
  • Additional education will substitute for up to two (2) years of the trade-related experience.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in a trade-related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provides targeted instruction (classroom and performance based) in plumbing to students and adult inmates in a correctional setting, which includes promoting education during inmate orientation and to the general population.
  • Maintains order and discipline in the classroom.
  • Delivers instruction through multiple modalities using a variety of technology platforms i.e., distance, virtual, tablets, smartboard, etc.
  • Develops lesson plans on educational topics within assigned correctional facility and adheres to approved curriculum, expected outcomes, and program requirements.
  • Submits all transcripts and documents to the appropriate agencies for review and approval.
