Job summary

American Residential Services (ARS) is hiring a Plumbing Installer to install residential and commercial plumbing systems, primarily water heaters, and to perform related troubleshooting and maintenance.

You will maintain strong customer relations, follow local and national codes, and handle heavy lifting and climbing as required. A valid driver’s license and 2+ years of water heater experience are required; tankless experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience replacing electric and gas water heaters.
• Tankless water heater experience is a plus.
• Basic plumbing capabilities and knowledge of local/national codes.

Responsibilities

• Install plumbing systems, primarily water heaters, for residential and/or commercial customers.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and service plumbing systems.
• Maintain good customer relations and comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform heavy work: lift 60–100 lbs and operate ladders and tools.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do as a Plumbing Installer:

The Plumbing Installer provides the installation of plumbing systems, primarily water heaters to residential and/or commercial customers. Also, may include some troubleshooting, maintenance and service of plumbing systems. Maintains good customer relations and applies technical skills and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations to all work.

Must be able to perform HEAVY work to include, but not limited to the following with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Must be physically able to work in a variety of spaces to include crawl spaces, rafters, attics, roofs, etc to perform installations.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work, move, and lift or carry heavy objects of 60-100 lbs or more to include water heaters, tubs, and materials.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work overhead, manipulate and maneuver tools.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing and pulling required.

Qualifications

What You Need as a Plumbing Installer:

• 2 plus years of experience changing out electric and gas water heaters.
• Tankless water heater experience is a plus.
• Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must have basic plumbing capabilities. Knowledge of local and national plumbing code is desired.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
