Job summary

Just Drains Sewer & Drain Service, a Velocity Trade Partners company, seeks a Lead Installer to run field installs end-to-end. You will lead the crew on site, ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction from scope review to final testing and payment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, meticulous workmanship, and the ability to train apprentices while maintaining documentation and compliance on every job across New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Lead the install crew on site and ensure quality and safety of every job.

• Protect the customer’s home; manage permits and inspections.
• Test systems for leaks and document the work.
• Take photos before, during, and after installs and share with the job file.
• Explain completed work to customers and collect final payment.
• Train crew members to company installation standards.
• Work outdoors in all weather and across New Jersey.

About Just Drains

Just Drains Sewer & Drain Service is a residential drain, sewer, and plumbing company based in Howell, New Jersey. We diagnose, repair, and install drain, sewer, and plumbing systems for homeowners across the state. Every job runs on a written scope, a structured process, and a documented installation standard.

Position Summary

This is a full-time field leadership position. The Lead Installer runs installation jobs on site from start to finish and leads the install crew in the field every day.

The Lead Installer is responsible for the quality, safety, and documentation of every install. That covers the day before the job through final testing, inspections, payment, and customer walkthrough.

What You Will Do Each Day

• Lead the install crew on site and take responsibility for the quality and safety of every job.

• Review the signed scope before each job and confirm materials and equipment are staged the day before.

• Repair or replace failures in residential plumbing systems.

• Protect the customer’s home with floor protection before tools are brought inside.

• Shut off the water supply and verify isolation before any pipe is cut.

• Obtain and file the required permit before equipment is set.

• Schedule and be present for all inspections required during the permit process.

• Test new and repaired systems for leaks before leaving the customer’s home and before closing out the job.

• Take before, during, and after photos of every install and post them to the job.

• Document each job clearly and explain the completed work to the customer before closing out the job.

• Collect final payment before leaving the customer’s home and closing out the job.

• Train and direct crew members to the company installation standard.

• Leave every job site clean and walk the customer through the completed work.

• Work outdoors and on site in all weather, including basements, crawlspaces, and yards across New Jersey.
