Job summary

Josh Capeder Design Co. is seeking a skilled plumber for residential and commercial projects. You will install water lines, DWV, gas piping, and fixtures, reading blueprints and codes to lay out installations.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in plumbing installation (new construction or remodels).
  • Valid plumbing license or registration as required by state/local regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial plumbing codes.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Install new plumbing systems, including water lines, DWV, gas piping, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes to determine project layout.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
  • Install and connect appliances, water heaters, toilets, faucets, tubs, and other fixtures.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, builders, and other trades on construction or remodeling projects.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Complete required documentation, job reports, and timesheets accurately.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.

Job description

  • Install new plumbing systems, including water lines, drain/waste/vent (DWV) systems, gas piping, and fixtures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes to determine project layout
    Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools
  • Install and connect appliances, water heaters, toilets, faucets, tubs, and other plumbing fixtures
  • Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, regulations, and job specifications
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation
  • Collaborate with general contractors, builders, and other trades on construction or remodeling projects
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Complete required documentation, job reports, and timesheets accurately
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain compliance with OSHA standards
  • 3-5 years of experience in plumbing installation (new construction or remodels)
  • Valid plumbing license or registration (as required by state/local regulations)
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with both residential and commercial plumbing codes
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and stand/kneel for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PEX, PVC, copper, and cast iron systems
  • Backflow certification a plus
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
