Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer in New York City to lead design efforts for complex healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure design goals are met within budget and schedule, while conducting reviews, modeling, and code compliance analyses.

The role requires a PE license (or progress), a strong healthcare code knowledge base, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design for healthcare projects.
• PE license required (or in progress).
• Expertise in healthcare building codes and regulations.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of plumbing and fire protection systems for complex healthcare facilities.
• Collaborate with internal project teams and external clients to meet design goals within budget and schedule.
• Conduct design reviews, system modeling, and code compliance analyses.
