Job summary

Cox Engineering is seeking an Estimator to join our Plumbing Group. The ideal candidate brings 2-5 years of plumbing estimating experience and strong MS Office skills.

You will review plans, develop estimates, coordinate with project managers, and interact with subcontractors to prepare competitive bids. Candidates should be able to multitask, visit sites, and manage multiple projects while delivering accurate cost breakdowns and timelines.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in plumbing estimating.
• Proven ability to work closely with clients and co-workers in a professional environment.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope and requirements.
• Develop cost estimates based on scope including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess requirements.
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors for pricing and availability.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals with detailed cost breakdowns and timelines.
