Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, seeks a Plumbing Engineer to design complex plumbing systems and coordinate with in-house disciplines and owners.

Responsibilities include preparing 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents in Revit, designing domestic water, sanitary, waste and vent, fuel and medical gas systems, and supporting LEED documentation. Entry-level to five years' experience and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience in plumbing consulting preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit for construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of complex plumbing systems.
• Prepare 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents using Revit.
• Design domestic water, sanitary, waste and vent, fuel, medical gas and lab gas systems.
• Prepare LEED certification documents and calculations.
• Coordinate design with in-house disciplines, architectural clients and owners.
• Plan project production process.
