EwingCole, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm, invites applications for a Plumbing EIT I to join our Irvine office. You will work with project engineers on design and documentation tasks while gaining experience toward your P.E.

The role emphasizes plumbing, HVAC and fire suppression calculations, equipment layout, and collaboration with the team. Hybrid work options and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• EIT (or eligible to sit for EIT).
• 0 to 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing and fire suppression load calculations.
• Size and layout plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression piping.
• Layout equipment rooms with proper clearances.
• Design and draft details, sections, etc.
• Confer with project team members and other engineering staff and prepare design modifications as required.
• Survey existing conditions.

Essential Functions

• Perform plumbing and fire suppression load calculations.
• Perform HVAC load calculations.
• Size and layout plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression piping
• Layout equipment rooms with proper clearances and access.
• Design and draft details, sections, etc.
• Confer with project team members and other engineering staff and prepare design modifications as required.
• Survey existing conditions.
• Attend seminars and continuing education programs.
• Participate in design, analysis and documentation training.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.
• E.I.T. (or qualified to sit for E.I.T.)
• 0 to 3 years’ experience
• Strong Technical Capacity
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
