Job summary

EwingCole is seeking a Plumbing Engineer in Training I for our Irvine office. This entry role works with Project Engineers on design and documentation tasks as you progress toward your Professional Engineer (P.E.).

You will perform plumbing, fire suppression, and HVAC load calculations; size and lay out piping; and help draft details and layouts. Collaboration with the project team and continuing education are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as listed; E.I.T. eligible.
• 0–3 years of experience
• Strong technical capacity
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing and fire suppression load calculations.
• Perform HVAC load calculations.
• Size and layout plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression piping
• Layout equipment rooms with proper clearances and access.
• Design and draft details, sections, etc.
• Confer with project team members and other engineering staff and prepare design modifications as required.
• Survey existing conditions.
• Attend seminars and continuing education programs.
• Participate in design, analysis and documentation training.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Summary:

The Plumbing Engineer in Training I works with Project Engineers on multiple design and documentation tasks while gaining experience toward their P.E.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
