Job summary

PAE in New York is seeking a Plumbing Engineer II to join our hybrid office team. You will design plumbing and fire protection layouts under a lead engineer, develop technical specifications, and support project delivery from design through site implementation in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of plumbing/equipment experience, a bachelor's degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.

• 1–2 years of plumbing engineer or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in discipline work or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing design concepts and ability to communicate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform AutoCAD/Revit system engineering.
• Design and plan plumbing and fire protection layouts under the direction of a lead engineer.
• Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail and read plans and specifications.
• Develop and edit technical specifications and apply building codes and industry standards.
• Support project lead in developing construction cost options and coordinate with other disciplines.

This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of fire protection and plumbing system layouts, while sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.
