Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a mid-level Plumbing Engineer (EIT or PE) in Piney Point, TX to design plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildings. The role requires collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to develop plans, specifications and construction documents.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, 3+ years of plumbing/MEP experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Texas EIT or PE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Develop plumbing plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Design domestic water, sanitary, waste/vent and storm drainage systems.
• Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, mechanical and electrical designs.
• Perform plumbing calculations and equipment sizing.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and equipment selections.
• Respond to RFIs and assist with construction administration.
• Participate in project and client meetings.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for plumbing design.
• Interpret and apply applicable plumbing/building codes.
• Coordinate with contractors during construction.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildings
• Develop plumbing plans, specifications and construction documents
• Design domestic water, sanitary, waste/vent and storm drainage systems
• Design natural gas systems where applicable
• Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, mechanical and electrical designs
• Perform plumbing calculations and equipment sizing
• Conduct field investigations and existing-condition assessments
• Review shop drawings, submittals and equipment selections
• Respond to RFIs and assist with construction administration
• Participate in project and client meetings
• Perform QA/QC reviews of plumbing documents
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for plumbing design
• Interpret and apply applicable plumbing/building codes
• Coordinate with contractors during construction

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
• 3+ years of plumbing/MEP consulting experience
• Experience designing plumbing systems for commercial or institutional buildings
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Texas EIT or PE preferred
• K-12, higher education, healthcare or institutional experience is a plus
