You will work with owners, architects, and engineers in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of plumbing design experience, knowledge of building codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of plumbing design experience.
• Knowledge of international and North Carolina building codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Engineering degree from an accredited program.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, waste and vent, and natural gas piping systems for new construction and building renovations.
• Prepare plumbing calculations, drawings, and specifications, starting at the schematic phase.
• Meet with owners to understand project needs and guide them through design and bidding.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and internal team members.
• Communicate with local plan reviewers and inspectors to confirm code compliance.
• Review submittals for plumbing equipment, fixtures, and piping.
• Respond to RFIs during construction.
• Perform site visits to observe installation and support project closeout.
