Qualifications

• Strong plumbing design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.
• Experience with water supply and building services systems (drainage, venting, fire protection).
• Knowledge of MEP coordination and integration in building projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools and hydraulic calculations.
• Understanding of local and national plumbing codes (UPC, IPC, NFPA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering; EIT/PE licensure is a plus.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, MEP drawings and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to safety and quality.
• Experience with California building codes and prior engineering consulting environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, layouts, and specs for water supply, drainage, venting, and fire protection.
• Review construction documents and respond to RFIs.
• Support permit submittals and provide technical support during construction.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Plumbing Engineer role based in Irvine, CA. The Plumbing Engineer will design and develop plumbing systems for a variety of building types, including residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects, in coordination with structural and MEP teams. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing calculations, layouts, and specifications for water supply, drainage, venting, and fire protection systems, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The role involves reviewing construction documents, responding to RFIs, supporting permit submittals, and providing technical support during construction. The Plumbing Engineer will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver cost‑effective, energy‑efficient, and reliable building services solutions. Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field; professional licensure (EIT/PE) is a plus.
