Job summary

Stantec is seeking a plumbing designer to join the Buildings team, collaborating from conceptual design through construction documents for various plumbing systems.

The role requires a degree in Drafting/Design, a minimum of five years’ relevant experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with CPD preferred. This position is based in the United States, NY area, and involves on-site work within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting/Design from an accredited college or technical school.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience designing plumbing systems.
• CPD credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team from conceptual design through construction documents for plumbing systems.
• Design, size, select, schedule, and specify plumbing system components and equipment.
• Develop conceptual design options and produce final construction documents.
• Produce plumbing design documents in Revit with calculations and specifications.
• Organize project requirements and manage deadlines; knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs; perform site observations to ensure design intent.
