Job summary

DBR Engineering Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Designer II in San Antonio to perform design duties on projects from kickoff to construction completion.

You will coordinate with other designers and BIM staff to deliver a quality product on schedule, develop schematic and design development drawings, and prepare equipment sizing, cut sheets, and schedules. The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD, and strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 2 years related work experience or
• Technical/Associate Degree with 3 years related work experience or
• High School Diploma/GED with 4 years related work experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary designer on a project from kick-off to construction completion.
• Coordinate all design aspects with other disciplines.
• Provide schematic design information including preliminary calculations, design distribution, equipment sizing, and cut sheets of proposed equipment.
• Make calculations using engineering formulas and software for design.
• Research and select equipment based on experience and fill out schedules.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to incorporate into final drawings.
• Incorporate design concepts from schematic design into design development and production of construction documents.
• Organize and maintain project files and keep a neat workspace for team access.
