Job summary

The role emphasizes code-compliant design and collaboration with multi-discipline teams to deliver high-quality MEP solutions. The candidate will work with domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, and fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD, applying IPC/UPC/NFPA/ASPE/IBC standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting/design CAD or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing and coordinating plumbing systems for commercial/industrial projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing, piping, and related systems (domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, fire protection) using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Review project specs and client requirements to support design and coordination.
• Prepare design/construction documents: layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, details, equipment schedules.
• Apply IPC, UPC, NFPA, ASPE, IBC codes to ensure code-compliant designs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams to integrate systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, system sizing, and capacity analyses.
• Support development, review, and QA of plumbing designs and documents.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals review, and site visits for installation verification.
• Select and specify plumbing equipment, materials, and components meeting codes and performance targets.
• Collaborate through all design/construction phases to ensure project success.
