Plumbing Designer

A National Architecture & Engineering firm is looking for a talented Plumbing Designer to join their Tampa Studio.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Engineering Team
• Assists in client engagement.
• Attend client, consultant, and design committee meetings.
• Communicates and improves design processes with other team members.
• May manage small teams and assist other project team members in the development and maintenance of workplans.
• Develop quality project documents
• Assist in planning, design and documentation of projects. Prepares working drawings.
• Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
• Presents design to client and coordinates with other disciplines and consultants.
• Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
• Recommend alterations to design to improve quality.
• Meet deadlines and manage personal utilization within project budgets
• May own small projects in entirety and/or significant portions of larger projects related to project delivery.

• Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
• Promote company reputation through good client relations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of plumbing design experience
• Generates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; collaborate with others to modify design; applies design principles
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret information.
• Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details, organizes and maintains a system of records.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand “abstract” principles behind math and physics
• Possesses a sense of ownership in all deliverables. Utilizes knowledge and opportunity to continually strive for excellence within an empowering culture. Collaborates and supports fellow employee owners in ongoing improvements. Understands personal accountability within their role in the company.
