Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to support design of gas, water, waste, and fire protection systems in various buildings. You will perform plumbing calculations, develop Revit models, and contribute to reports and drawings.

Preferred candidates hold a PE license, CPD certification, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and 6+ years with an engineering consultant. Strong communication, time management, and K-12 project experience are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Aid the engineering team in developing plumbing calculations and plumbing system designs for gas, water, and waste systems
• Produce reports and drawings using calculations and specifications for various buildings
• Utilize client requirements and specifications to generate consistent drawings
• Review code-related items with engineers to ensure compliance with client requirements and specifications
• Assist senior engineering staff with equipment selection through project calculations and equipment research
• Assist in evaluating and selecting equipment for plumbing system components and applying standard engineering procedures
• Aid with consulting on feasibility reports and sustainability analyses
• Work with the team to design sanitary, water, gas, storm, medical gas, and fire protection plumbing systems
• Mentor plumbing designers and plumbing engineer/designers on expectations
