We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer/Engineer to join our team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads. They will also develop project specifications, perform site evaluations, attend client and project team meetings, and provide construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.
• Develop contract drawings and designs from schematics through to construction documents.
• Develop project specifications.
• Perform site evaluations.
• Handle construction administration responsibilities including reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
• Attend meetings with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• EIT/PE license preferred but commensurate experience considered.
• 2+ years of plumbing design experience, preferably for commercial, institutional, K-12, or healthcare projects.
• Fire protection design experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit highly preferred.
