Job summary

Collabera in Austin, TX is seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer with at least five years of experience to lead the design of plumbing systems through construction administration. You will apply knowledge of codes and LEED requirements to deliver projects.

Proficiency in 3D BIM with Revit MEP and AutoCAD is required, with fabrication drawings and spool drawings preferred. Strong coordination and documentation using Revizto, Navisworks, and Bluebeam is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional plumbing design experience.
• Knowledge of IPC, UPC, IBC, IMC, ASPE, LEED water efficiency, and NFPA codes.
• Ability to deliver plumbing engineering services from conceptual design through construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for projects from concept to construction administration.

Job description

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the design of Plumbing Systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and best practices, including experience with load analysis and engineering calculation software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IPC, UPC, IBC, IMC, ASPE standards, LEED water efficiency requirements, and NFPA codes.
• Proven experience delivering plumbing engineering services from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Strong proficiency in 3D BIM design tools, particularly Revit MEP; experience with Revit MEP fabrication and spool drawing production preferred.
• Proficient in industry-standard coordination and documentation tools, including Revit MEP Fabrication, AutoCAD, Revizto, Navisworks, and Bluebeam

Pay rate:

$45/hr. to $50/hr.
