Responsibilities

1. Perform calculations and designs for basic to intermediate systems with minimal supervision.
2. Research and evaluate the feasibility of systems or equipment, and make recommendations.
3. Provide technical guidance to team members.
4. Assist in business development and pursuit activities.
5. Maintain proactive communication throughout project cycles.
6. Resolve conflicts involving owners, architects, and contractors as needed.
7. Maintain knowledge of industry software such as Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office; train or assist others.
8. Support project management responsibilities under supervision, asking questions as needed.
9. Support project coordination activities including managing emails, scope, schedule, client meetings, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field preferred; 3 years of relevant experience; or 5 years without degree. PE license may count towards experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design, codes, standards, and industry practices.
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
• Ability to work independently and possess high technical aptitude.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with leadership abilities for less experienced designers.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license (preferred).
• Certified Plumbing Designer (preferred).
• Completion of FE exam, LEED, and/or WELL accreditation (preferred).
