Oxford Services is seeking a motivated Plumbing Apprentice in Rochester, NY to learn all aspects of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

You will work with experienced plumbers, attend on-the-job training and classroom instruction, and develop the skills required for a long-term career in the plumbing trade. Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with reasonable hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist journeyman and master plumbers with installation and repair of water, drainage, gas, and other piping systems.
• Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Measure, cut, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools.
• Assist in locating and repairing leaks, clogged drains, and other plumbing issues.
• Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing tools, and ensuring materials are ready.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure they are used safely and properly.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards.
• Attend on-the-job training and classroom instruction as required by the apprenticeship program.
• Other tasks deemed necessary by supervisor.

Hours: 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Compensation: $19-24/Hour

General Description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team in Rochester, NY. Thisis an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start a long-term career in the plumbing trade. Youwill work alongside experienced plumbers to learn all aspects of the plumbing profession, including installation,maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist journeyman and master plumbers with the installation and repair of water, drainage, gas, and otherpiping systems.
• Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Measure, cut, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools.
• Assist in locating and repairing leaks, clogged drains, and other plumbing issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Demonstrates desire to develop knowledge and skill of the operation and repair of all types of heating and
• ventilation systems
• Ability to work at various heights, work in changing temperatures, and lift, move, and/or carry heavy (up to 75 pound) objects
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Own transportation

Desired Skills & Knowledge

• OSHA 10 Hour Class Certification
• Previous construction or trade experience
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
