Job summary

SLCC invites applications for an Adjunct instructor in the Workforce & Economic Development unit. You will teach Skilled Trades courses, align curricula with NCCER requirements, and help maintain syllabi, materials, and labs.

The position requires at least 3 years of industrial plumbing experience, NCCER exposure, and preferably an Associate’s degree with Journey Level trade experience; passing a pre-employment background screen is required.

Qualifications

• Must have exposure and knowledge of NCCER requirements.
• Experience teaching trade/technical courses.
• Ability to develop and update course descriptions and syllabi

Responsibilities

• Instructs Skilled Trades courses in accordance with approved descriptions and syllabi.
• Maintains instructional materials and laboratories.
• Develops and updates course descriptions based on industry trends or changes.
• Uses assessments to measure student performance and communicates progress.
• Advises students and ensures lectures reflect current curricula.
• Maintains regular attendance and participates in department duties.
