Qualifications

  • Requires Plumbing Diploma or current Plumbing License or Journeyman's card.
  • Three years of experience in the Plumbing industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with BlackBoard.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance.
  • Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour.
  • Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Grades and returns student work in a timely manner.
  • Counsels students regarding their grades and progress.
  • Constructs classroom materials that support course goals.
  • Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction.
  • Maintains regular office hours.
  • Stays abreast of current teaching methods and technology.
  • Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course.
  • Provides class coverage for fellow instructors as needed.
  • Maintains NCCER certification as required for assigned courses.
  • Participates in graduation exercises.

Job description

Teaches assigned classes and/or laboratories in day and/or evening according to course documentation.

  • Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner

  • Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate
  • Provides class coverage for fellow instructors as needed
  • Maintains or obtains NCCER certification as required for assigned courses
  • Participates in graduation exercises

Requirements
  • Plumbing Diploma or current Plumbing License or current Journeyman's card
  • Three years of experience in the Plumbing industry
  • Computer skills using basic functions of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
Preferences
  • Associate degree in Plumbing
  • Plumbing contractor license
  • NCCER Certification
