A prominent healthcare institution is seeking a qualified Plumber to join their facility. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining plumbing systems, responding to emergency calls, and performing routine maintenance. Ideal candidates should have a relevant technical diploma, certifications, and possess strong physical capabilities to handle plumbing tasks effectively.
Under general supervision, plumbing includes the work and/or practice, materials, fixtures used in the installation, removal, maintenance, extension, and modification of a plumbing system. This includes all piping, fixtures, fixed appliances, and appurtenances related to sanitary drainage, storm drainage, special wastes, venting systems, and public or private water supply systems. Working knowledge of chilled water and hot water supply and returns is also mandatory. Perform routine maintenance and respond to alarms and emergency calls related to mechanical systems and utilities, including life support systems such as oxygen, medical air, and vacuum.

Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in Plumbing preferred.

Licenses and Credentials
Journeyman Plumber [State License] - preferred
Master Plumber [State License] - preferred
ASSE 6010 Installer Certified (NITC) - preferred
ASME IX Brazer Certification/Medical Gas Brazer - preferred
Wastewater Treatment Operator [Massachusetts] - preferred
Personal Driver's License (New Hampshire) - preferred
NFPA Hot Work Certificate
Experience
Completion of a three-year apprentice program in plumbing plus 1-2 years of formal training; 2-3 years required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing codes, physical strength to carry tools and equipment, ability to work overtime, and occasionally lift over seventy pounds.
