Washington State University seeks a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter/Steamfitter – Fire Sprinkler Fitter to maintain and troubleshoot critical fire safety systems on the Pullman campus. The role requires journeyman-level plumbing and welding skills, with the ability to read blueprints and diagnose electronic alarm issues.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter OR full journey status as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter in a union.
• Must have or obtain by time of hire a valid driver’s license and meet driving standards.
• Ability to respond to the worksite on a 24-hour basis.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot fire and life safety systems including fire alarms, suppression, and sprinkler networks.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to perform journeyman-level plumbing and pipefitting tasks.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed to maintain building infrastructure and equipment.

In this role, you maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of fire and life safety systems, such as fire alarms, suppression systems, and sprinkler systems. In addition, you diagnose electronic fire alarm issues, the role requires interpreting blueprints and schematics, and performing journeyman-level plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and pipe fitting tasks to maintain building infrastructure and equipment.**Additional Information:**This is a **full-time** (**100%** FTE), **permanent**position. This position is overtime **eligible.** **Monthly Salary:** $5,398 to $6,259 | Range 51G (Steps G-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
