Plumber & Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• - Perform general maintenance, plumbing repairs, and building upkeep
• - Install, maintain, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, water, waste, storm, and sewer lines, valves, fittings, and piping, and gas and fuel lines
• - Inspect and maintain laundry equipment, pools, pumps, and water treatment systems
• - Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment
• - Inspect fire sprinkler booster pumps and maintain compliance documentation
• - Identify leaks, deficiencies, and other building issues and recommend repairs
• - Respond to maintenance work orders and emergency situations
• - Assist with HVAC, boilers, and water heating/distribution systems
• - Support snow removal, furniture/event setups, parking assistance, and other general maintenance needs
• - Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• - Occasionally work evenings, weekends, holidays, snow days, or other off-hours as needed

Requirements

• - Able to lift 50+ pounds throughout an 8-10 hour day
• - Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform manual labor for extended periods
• - Ability to work outdoors and perform grounds/maintenance projects
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills
• - Professional and respectful interaction with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors

Qualifications

• - 5+ years of experience in plumbing and general maintenance within a school or similar environment
• - High school diploma required
• - Valid driver's license with a clean record
• - Ability to read and understand plumbing plans and blueprints
• - Must be at least 18 years old
