Job summary
AdventHealth in Florida invites applications for a facilities technician focused on plumbing and maintenance. You will install, maintain, and repair domestic water pumps, piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures; support steam, HVAC, and other systems; document logs and respond to work orders.
Requires a high school diploma or 5+ years experience, a valid driver's license, and English proficiency.
Qualifications
- Ability to assist trade personnel and coordinate repairs to plumbing systems
- Able to communicate in English
- Document records neatly and accurately
- Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
- Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
- Ability to instruct others per blueprints and work from sketches
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
- Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables
- Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
- Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Troubleshoots equipment and piping under supervision.
- Maintains maintenance logs and documentation.
- Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Trains others to enhance team capabilities.
