Job summary

Orange County Government is seeking a skilled Trades Technician III (Plumber) for the Facilities Management West District. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial facilities, including potable water and wastewater networks.

A journeyman/master plumber license and a Florida driver’s license are required. Work includes second shift and potential on-call standby; the department emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering high-quality customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in skilled trades in the Plumbing field. An equivalent combination of relevant education or experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and plumbing equipment in commercial buildings.
• Uses tools and calibration equipment to diagnose and restore water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance and supports diagnosis of complex plumbing issues.
• Interacts with staff, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure quality service.
