Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida invites applications for a facilities technician focused on plumbing and maintenance. You will install, maintain, and repair domestic water pumps, piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures; support steam, HVAC, and other systems; document logs and respond to work orders.

Requires a high school diploma or 5+ years experience, a valid driver's license, and English proficiency.

  • Ability to assist trade personnel and coordinate repairs to plumbing systems

  • Document records neatly and accurately
  • Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
  • Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
  • Ability to instruct others per blueprints and work from sketches
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
  • Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
  • Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Job Description:

Installs, maintains, and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures. Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains. Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems, performing essential repairs and other duties as requested. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as needed and under general supervision. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Remains current on maintenance logs and documentation. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]
