Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a Plumber Apprentice at Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC. The full-time schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential additional hours to meet scheduling needs. Prior plumbing experience is preferred, and applicants must be registered in a USDOL plumber apprentice program.

The role includes maintenance duties, leak repairs, and CMMS usage under supervision, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be registered in a Plumber Apprentice Program with USDOL.
• Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Identify the location of leaks and make repairs.
• Repair or replace parts as needed.
• Determine the equipment, tools or materials needed for tasks.
• Maintain OJT logs and CMMS entries.
• Keep facilities, shops, and mechanical areas clean and safe.
• Attend classroom training (min. 144 hours per year).
• Use CMMS on a mobile device to update task status.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
