Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for full-time general labor/maintenance roles at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. The position covers day-to-day upkeep, repairs, and campus maintenance with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Prior maintenance experience is preferred and the role includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Location is on-site at the university with responsibilities ranging from cleaning to minor repairs and event setup. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Performs minor repairs to doors, fixtures and furniture.
• Records information from meters and gauges to verify operations.
• Adjusts and repairs heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Regularly replaces HVAC air filters.
• Monitors building security and safety during/after hours.
• Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
• Mows, trims, and maintains lawns and shrubbery.
• Notifies managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Removes snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
• Sets up decorations and arrangements for events.
• Ad-hoc cleaning and restocking restrooms.
• Drives vehicles required for work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
