Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) seeks a Licensed Plumber to install, maintain, inspect and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings in Illinois. A current Illinois plumber license and knowledge of state codes are required.

The role involves reading blueprints, coordinating with electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors; handling after-hours emergency calls; and documenting work orders and reports.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois plumber license required.

• Minimum 3–5 years of plumbing experience.
• Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, building codes, and schematics.
• Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, clogs, and inefficiencies.
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
• Collaborate with electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors.
• Maintain compliance with Illinois Plumbing Code and local ordinances.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

ICMS is looking for a Licensed Plumber that will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires a current Illinois plumber's license and a thorough understanding of state plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances
• Read and interpret blueprints, building codes, and schematics
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify and repair issues related to leaks, clogs, or inefficiencies
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors
• Maintain compliance with all Illinois Plumbing Code and local ordinances
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation as required
• Respond to emergency calls for plumbing issues outside regular business hours, as needed
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Plumber License issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the plumbing trade
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
• Experience with commercial or industrial plumbing systems
• Backflow Prevention Device Tester certification (optional but preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to work prolonged periods on scaffolding or ladder
• Required to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies as scheduled.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, it may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results (Background screening by the Government & fingerprinting).

Security Clearance:

It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. ICMS shall submit security clearance information for each employee, as required by current government identification card application procedures and future requirements as applicable.

Job Type - Full-time

Work schedules are subject to change based on client and company needs. This person will be on call regularly and available for and to respond to emergencies off shift.

Rate : $39.44 per hour plus Health and Welfare Benefits up to $5.09/hour
