Job summary

St. Joseph's University Medical Center is hiring for a part-time technician responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all piping systems within the facility, including domestic water, sanitary/storm and hot water services.

The role also covers medical gas piping and steam piping systems and related service equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years related experience.
• BlMedical Gas Piping Certification preferred.
• NJ Plumbing License preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record per SJH policy.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain piping systems within the facility (domestic water, sanitary/storm, hot water).
• Maintain medical gas piping systems and steam piping systems.
• Install and maintain service equipment connected to the piping systems.
• Ensure systems are functioning reliably and in compliance with policies.

Skills

Experience: 3-5 years

Valid driver's license

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

NJ Plumbing License preferred

BlMedical Gas Piping Certification preferred

Job description

Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all piping systems within the facility, including domestic water services, sanitary/storm systems, hot water systems, medical gas piping systems and steam piping systems. Installs and maintains miscellaneous service equipment throughout the facility requiring connections to the above systems.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three to five years of previous work related experience. BlMedical Gas Piping Certification preferred. NJ Plumbing License preferred. Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.
