Minnesota Department of Corrections in Oak Park Heights is seeking a skilled Plumber to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems under general supervision. The role includes training and directing laborers and maintenance staff as required.

$34.16 – $39.66 hourly ($71,326 – $82,810 annually)
Plumbers under general supervision perform skilled new plumbing installation, extension, replacement, alteration, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, drains, fittings, hydrants, valves, heating fixtures, traps, and gas supply distribution, in accordance with the State Plumbing Code. They also train and direct the work of laborers and other maintenance employees as required.
Perform skilled installation, maintenance, and repair of all aspects of plumbing systems; train and direct laborers, maintenance staff, and helpers; perform related work as assigned.
Pre‑placement physical screening may include tuberculosis screening, commercial driver’s license (CDL) drug test, respirator clearance, and review & sign of a Physical Demands Analysis. Physical demands of the job include frequent handling, lifting, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
Background checks, including criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations, and other policy‑based inquiries. New employees will be fingerprinted within 30 days of employment.
