Job summary

Johnson Controls Silent-Aire seeks an experienced industrial plumber to join our team in Gilbert, AZ on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:00 pm–12:30 am). You will support electricians, welders and assemblers, read blueprints, and ensure safe shop practices in a high‑hazard environment.

Role requires brazing and soldering copper pipe, PVC work, and use of power tools, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber with strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Appropriate credentials and certifications.
• Ability to work shift work.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow SOPs.
• Shop environment requires safety adherence and PPE usage.

How you will do it

Required:

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.

• This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards.Safety policies must be always adhered to. Personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.

• It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.

• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.

• Appropriate credentials and certifications.

• Ability to work shift work.

• Ability to work in small spaces.

• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
