Job summary

Eaton Corporation's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a PLS Manager to lead the Product Line Support engineering team, guiding development of new products and processes and aligning yearly strategic plans with division engineering and LP operations.

The role oversees daily activities, coordinates with cross-functional teams, ensures compliance with quality standards, and drives cost-out and process improvements through Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Master degree in engineering preferable.
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish). MS Office familiarity.
• Experience in leading engineering teams and cost-out activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of the PLS engineering team (Lead Engineers, Master Designers, Supervisors).
• Reports status on PLS team assignments and metrics to cross-functional teams.
• Supports engineering cost-out activities and design processes.
• Ensures proper design procedures and processes are followed by the team.
• Contributes to project completion by resolving design issues and coordinating activities.
• Coordinates project activities with other units to ensure resource availability.
• Reviews project documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provides technical soundness for design decisions to enable manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Supports new product development and transfer to manufacturing.
• Maintains product data management and deviation control (Enovia).
• Leads PROLaunch and Lean efforts; participates in continuous improvement.
