The role focuses on Bluestar PLM implementation, change management, training, and adoption, with governance, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration emphasized. Travel up to 40% between Hillsboro and Corvallis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience leading transformation/change management initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Proven success in implementing PLM or ERP platforms with data migration.
• Knowledge of PLM data, BOM management, and ERP integration practices.

Job description

Planar is seeking an Engineering/PLM Transformation & Adoption Lead for implementation and adoption of our new PLM module in Microsoft D365 F&O. This position will be a part of initiatives across several business units to modernize engineering systems, data, processes, and connections. The role will focus on Bluestar PLM implementation, change management, communication, training, and adoption across all business units.

This role will work in the IT Enterprise Applications team and work closely with business stakeholders, and external partners to design, implement, support, and continuously improve solutions that drive operational efficiency, process automation, data visibility, and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior leaders, system administrators, project leads, architects, and business general managers to ensure changes integrate smoothly within the wider technology landscape.
• Align leadership on the implementation roadmap, balancing delivery against capacity to absorb change.
• Establish governance structures, steering committees, and change review boards.
• Map all stakeholders across business units and develop targeted, role-specific communication plans for each function.
• Apply configuration management practices to protect data integrity during migration, workflows, and manufacturing transitions.
• Work embedded in the IT department partnering with solution architects and engineers to evaluate downstream system impacts and define needs with adjacent platforms.
• Design and deliver role-based adoption programs, change journeys, support materials, and messaging that translates technical details to business outcomes for every level.
• Define adoption metrics and build dashboards with clear data/visuals.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related, graduate degree preferred.
• 8+ years of transformation or change management experience, 3+ years with engineering systems preferred.
• Proven success leading at least one enterprise-level system implementation with a PLM or ERP platform.
• Knowledge of configuration management in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management platforms, including data migration and bill of materials management (BOM).
• Understanding of ERP systems integration practices. Microsoft AX, D365 F&O, Bluestar PLM a plus.
• Ability to create role-specific change management and training content, as well as dashboards for data-driven metrics.
• Knowledge of quality management system concepts such as non-conformance handling, corrective actions, and document control, preferably with implementation experience linked to a product lifecycle management environment.
• Background in manufacturing and engineering ideal, service operations or multi-site environments a plus.
• Strong executive-level communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels and functions.
• Ability to travel up to 40% between Hillsboro and Corvallis locations
