Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Document Control Specialist to administer and optimize the PLM system, ensuring accurate, accessible, and compliant product data. You will manage engineering changes, maintain BOMs, support data migration, and drive process improvements to boost efficiency and data integrity.

The role starts onsite for two weeks, then shifts to a hybrid schedule with three days on-site and two remote, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PLM, product data management, or document control experience.
• Hands-on with PLM tools and configuring processes/workflows.
• Familiar with ECR/ECN routing and tracking.
• Experience managing BOMs and data transfer to downstream systems.
• Knowledge of taxonomy, knowledge management, and document archival practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer PLM system configuration and access management.
• Configure PLM processes and workflows to improve usability.
• Support data migration and BOM import from design partners.
• Coordinate resolution of defects with support teams.
• Support change control improvements and cross-functional meetings.
• Develop/update policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Review and route Engineering Change Requests and Notices.
• Track change orders and prepare status reports.
• Execute administrative change orders and bulk PLM transactions.
• Deliver training on PLM and change management.
• Capture metrics to identify training needs.
• Run PLM data-quality checks and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain synchronization between CAD data and PLM records.
