Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in the Atlanta area is seeking a seasoned Controls Technician for a day shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm, Mon–Fri) to participate in cell design, integrate controls, and install automated equipment. You will build PLC panels, program them, and bring systems up and running.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC systems, repairing controllers and robot controllers, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Desire at least 6 years of related experience.
  • PLC programming and ladder logic troubleshooting.
  • Panel building and electrical experience.
  • Some robotic experience.
  • Safety circuit integration.
  • Authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Install, build and program PLC panels to get automated equipment running.
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer and schematics.
  • Install, program or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine upgrades on controls and equipment.
  • Train others to install, use and service equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production to improve output.
  • Disassemble/re-assemble equipment to replace defective parts.

Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Major and established company with a huge majority market share in what they manufacture and a good working culture has an opportunity on the day shift which is 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday thru Friday for a Controls Technician in the southwest suburban Atlanta area.

The Controls Technician will participate in cell design, along with the integration of controls and installation of automated equipment. Will build PLC panels and then program them as well as get them up and running. The technician is responsible for assisting in configuring, testing, operating, maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting controls, as well as other automated systems used in production. Some of the responsibilities of the role detailed below:

  • Pneumatics: Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
  • Hydraulic: Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing the following components, check valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls, directional control valves, pressure control valves.
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer.
  • Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, and robot controllers.
  • Use knowledge of all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
  1. Operating the equipment or overseeing the operation of equipment.
  2. Analyzing and categorizing events within the equipment.
  3. Working closely with engineers and production team to help achieve a desired output.
  4. Conducting preventative maintenance, such as routine upgrades and inspections.
  5. Repairing machine controls, systems, and tools as needed.
  6. Disassembling (or re-assembling) equipment to repair or replace defective parts.
  7. Training others to install, use, and service equipment.

The location is southwest suburban Atlanta, GA. There is an attractive hourly rate. OT is paid at time and 1/2. There are major company benefits and an attractive 401K with matching.
