Job summary

Mountville Mills, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support PLC programming, HMI configuration, and drive systems. The role involves electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and occasional travel to other branches.

You will read manuals, interpret work orders, and use CMMS to document activities while ensuring safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate has at least two years in PLC programming with Allen-Bradley RSLogix500 and Studio5000, plus the ability to

Qualifications

  • Two years PLC programming experience required; five+ years preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to Mountville branch locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify and test PLC code and ladder logic in PLC programs.
  • Setup and modify HMI screens and related interfaces.
  • Program drives and other electronic components.
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment including mills, HVAC systems, pumps and motors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out.
  • Use CMMS to track maintenance activities and gather data.
  • Read manuals and work orders; identify and fix electrical problems.
  • Identify improvements to reduce MTBF and MTTR; maintain orderly work areas.

Job description

  • Must be able to work independently as necessary
  • Create, Modify, and test PLC code
  • Change ladder logic in PLC program
  • Setup HMI screens make changes to HMI screens
  • Program drives and other electronic components
  • This position may involve travel to Mountville branch locations.
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment (including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems) such as mills,HVAC, roofs, chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary
  • Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for industrial machinery or equipment and measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Use electric meters, a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Initiate corrective and preventative action within the scope of your responsibility
  • Be a catalyst of positive change to improve mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Use CMMS system to track and gather information on maintenance activities.
  • Keep work area and tools clean and orderly
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Job Requirements:
  • Allen-Bradley PLC experience RSLogix500, Studio5000
  • Ability to travel to other branch locations, sometimes on short notice
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Two (2) years of PLC programming experience is required, five (5) or more years of experience preferred
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
  • Mechanical ability to complete tasks such as replacing motors, repairing plumbing issues, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Capable of working flexible hours, overtime when necessary
  • Knowledge of 5S or Lean manufacturing principles a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge desired
  • Experience with CMMS software
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
