Base pay range
$50,960.00/yr - $56,160.00/yr
Job Summary:
- As a PLC Manufacturing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
- You will collaborate closely with our Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes related to output and waste reduction.
- A strong background in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial electronics, and maintenance is required.
- Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities:- Set up and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance as per the PM Program to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist Engineering with installation, debugging, and startup of production equipment.
- Maintain equipment logs, recording downtime and maintenance issues.
- Document all process changes.
- Mix silicone/solvent-based formulations used for lubrication (Sharps Department), ensuring solids percentage remains within acceptable parameters using a viscometer.
- Support Engineering in maintaining and adjusting vision systems within specified parameters.
- Ensure safety, environmental procedures, and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are followed.
- Provide relevant equipment and process performance information to Production Supervisors, including production and waste data.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for production equipment.
- Support other maintenance duties as needed.
- Take ownership of process performance issues and lead improvements.
- Report directly to Production Maintenance and indirectly to Production.
Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma/GED plus at least 4 years of industrial/manufacturing experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Vocational/Technical School curriculum in relevant fields (see below), with relevant experience or an Associate’s degree in Industrial Electronics or similar.
- Ability to work an 8-hour night shift (12AM - 8AM, Monday through Friday).
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Proficiency in electrical industrial systems.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal specifications and procedures.
- Relevant Fields: Electrical/Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician.
