Job description

Job Summary:

As a PLC Manufacturing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production equipment operates efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with our Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes related to output and waste levels. A strong background in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), industrial electronics, and maintenance is required.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per the PM Program to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist Engineering with installation, debugging, and start-up of production equipment.
• Maintain equipment logs, documenting downtime and maintenance issues.
• Document process changes accurately.
• Mix silicone/solvent-based formulations for needle lubrication, using a viscometer to monitor solids percentages.
• Support Engineering in maintaining and adjusting vision systems.
• Ensure safety, environmental procedures, and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are followed.
• Provide relevant equipment and process performance information to Production Supervisors.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production equipment.
• Support other maintenance duties as needed.
• Own and lead process performance improvements.
• Report to Production Maintenance and indirectly to Production.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED plus at least 4 years of industrial/manufacturing experience or equivalent education.
• Vocational/Technical School coursework in relevant fields (see below); relevant experience may substitute for coursework or an Associate's Degree in Industrial Electronics or related field.
• Ability to work an 8-hour night shift (12AM - 8AM), Monday through Friday.
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Proficient in electrical industrial systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal specifications and procedures.
• Relevant fields include Electrical/Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician.
