A leading company in the lumber industry seeks a PLC Technician for its 2nd shift operations, responsible for troubleshooting electrical and process malfunctions, ensuring machinery operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLCs and industrial electricity, coupled with troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and 401K are offered after a month of continuous employment.
The PLC Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting all electrical, instrumental and process malfunctions, including mechanical power transmission equipment and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This posting is for a 2nd shift position to provide support for the lumber mill.

Required education/experience:
2-5 years of industrial electrical experience.
Electrical/Electronic/Automation technician diploma/degree/certificate considered an asset.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is a plus.
Previous manufacturing experience required. Prior wood products experience preferred.
Knowledge of Internet, Excel and Word.
General knowledge of OSHA standards
Ability to work with a diverse workforce.
Must be able to work multiple shifts and weekends.
